Boustead Sdn Bhd was established in Brunei as a branch office situated at Kiaw Liang Building, Jalan Chevalier now known as Jalan Pemancha in late 1956. When it was first existed in Brunei, the Company was named Boustead Trading (S) Pte Ltd under the management of Boustead Trading (S) Pte Ltd’s Singapore. It was in 1st November 2002, Nissan Motor Co Ltd announced that Boustead is awarded the sole distributorship of Nissan Franchise instead of two distributorships, namely, Boustead Sdn Bhd and TCY Motors Sdn Bhd.

In 1995, the company moved to a new showroom located at an established industrial complex in Brunei. The location of the new showroom is now within close proximity of all the other major car distributors, which makes shopping for a new car easier for potential buyers. In addition, Boustead has a comparatively bigger showroom than other competitors and offering outstanding services to customers to match.
